First off, I think it is clear to say that there are two different classifications for morality: Absolute and Relative.
Absolute Moralism is defined as the ethical belief that there are absolute standards against which moral questions can be judged, and that certain actions are right or wrong, regardless of the context of the act.Relative Moralism is the position that moral or ethical propositions do not reflect objective and/or universal moral truths, but instead make claims relative to social, cultural, historical or personal circumstances.
Now let me explain a few things.  Absolute Moralism is that seen in religion, that is to say killing or adultery is always a sin.  Relative Moralism isn’t as clear cut and so some find that it confusing.  I will utilize the example of the Righteous Kill.  In Absolute Moralism, that would mean that to kill is wrong.  Relative Moralism would say that if one kills a murderer to stop his vicious acts then it could be just as society would see this as a removal of a public menace.
Personally, I would say that I lean toward Absolute Morality due to my beliefs but I do see the prevalence of Relative Moralism in some instances such as the example above.  Moral values should be placed on the decisions of life, and a morals are what guide us from doing wrong.  To be balanced, one must have values and morals that guide them on a path that can withstand obstacles without complete mishap.  My recommendation? Find out where you stand on certain things, learn to understand yourself and start making your path, just be prepared to live with it.
